Sagar Kodi, a 30-year-old Scheduled Caste scholar from a village, overcame financial and geographical barriers to complete his Ph.D. with the help of the National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students. The fellowship provided him with Junior and Senior Research Fellowships, allowing him to cover research expenses and support his family. Today, he works as a Research Associate at the Anthropological Survey of India in Mysore.
