How this calculator works
Marks obtained = (Correct answers × Marks per correct answer) − (Incorrect answers × Negative marking per wrong answer). Percentage is marks obtained divided by the maximum possible marks (Total Questions × Marks per correct answer).
Correct, Incorrect and Unattempted must add up to exactly Total Questions — the calculator checks this and tells you if the numbers don't match before calculating anything.
Example
100 questions, 2 marks each, −0.5 for every wrong answer: 60 correct, 20 incorrect, 20 unattempted gives marks obtained of 60×2 − 20×0.5 = 110 out of a maximum of 200, which is 55%.

How is my score calculated?

What do I enter for negative marking if there is none?
Leave it blank or enter 0 — marks will only be added for correct answers, never deducted.
Can my percentage be negative?
Yes, if heavy negative marking on incorrect answers outweighs the marks from correct answers, your total marks (and percentage) can go below zero — this is a real, if unusual, possible outcome and is shown as-is, not clamped to zero.
Does this predict whether I will clear the cutoff?
No. This calculator only computes your marks and percentage from the numbers you enter — it does not have or estimate any exam’s actual cutoff. Always check the official cutoff announced for your specific exam.
