Detailed Information

Eligibility

• For Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology) and Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology), the candidate must be 12th pass (under the 10+2 system) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with a minimum of 50% marks in both 10th and 12th.
• For all other categories, the candidate must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or its equivalent (under the 10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board, and also possess a National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training, or a Provisional Certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training.
• The minimum requirement of 50% aggregate marks in Matriculation is not applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories.

Age Limit

• Upper age relaxation for candidates belonging to specific categories: (a) 5 years for SC/ST (b) 3 years for OBC (c) 10 years for PwBD (d) 10 additional years for ex-Servicemen (ExSM), to the extent of service rendered in Defence Forces, plus 3 years, provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months service at a stretch -- except those ex-Servicemen who have already joined another Government service on the civil side through ExSM reservation.
• Ex-Servicemen will be considered against the ExSM quota regardless of their community; if UR vacancies are not available, ExSM belonging to the particular communities whose vacancies are earmarked will be considered against the ExSM quota.
• This applies to an ex-Serviceman applicant who applies for self, not to their children.

Documents Required

• SC/ST and OBC (NCL) candidates seeking the benefit of reservation must upload their caste certificate (as per Annexure-IX & Annexure-X respectively) with their online application; these certificates must be produced in ORIGINAL during document verification.
• Authorities empowered to issue SC/ST/OBC certificates: (a) District Magistrate/Additional Magistrate/Collector/Deputy Commissioner/Additional Deputy Commissioner/Deputy Collector/1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/Sub-divisional Magistrate/Taluka Magistrate/Executive Magistrate/Extra Assistant Magistrate (not below the rank of 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate) (b) Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar (c) Sub-divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or their family resides.
