Defence recruitment covers two quite different streams. Officer entry into the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force runs largely through the Union Public Service Commission examinations, principally the combined defence services and national defence academy examinations, followed by a services selection board interview and a medical examination. Other-rank entry, including Army agniveer, Navy sailor and Air Force airman recruitment, runs through the services’ own rallies and recruitment examinations. Alongside these, the central armed police forces recruit constables, sub-inspectors and assistant commandants through their own and Staff Selection Commission processes. Indian Army SSC Technical 68th Men April 2027 Recruitment

Nationality: A candidate must be one of the following: (i) a citizen of India, or (ii) a citizen of Nepal, or (iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated with the intention of permanently settling in India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. However, in the case of Gorkha subjects of Nepal, a certificate of eligibility will not be necessary. Candidates in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary will attach it with their application.
