Selection Process
Stage I - NORCET Preliminary: A 90-minute qualifying exam with 100 MCQs (100 marks) - 20 questions on General Knowledge & Aptitude and 80 on Nursing subjects.

There is negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong answer.
This stage only qualifies candidates for Stage II and is not used for final merit.
Stage II - NORCET Mains: A 180-minute exam with 160 case-scenario-based MCQs (160 marks) covering the nursing syllabus, testing clinical skill competency.

How to Apply
- 1 Candidates already registered under OTR or a previous examination must apply using the same old ID/OTR registration; applying with a different ID will lead to rejection.
- 2 Candidates employed in Government/Semi-Government/PSU/Autonomous bodies must upload a valid NOC by 18 August 2026 (5:00 PM); failure will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- 3 No correction is permitted after the specified dates, including changes to category (SC/ST to UR/OBC/EWS) once the registration fee is submitted.
- 4 No extension of dates will be provided under any circumstances.
- 5 Any change of allotted examination centre will be summarily rejected.
- 6 Candidates should rely only on official notices published on www.aiimsexams.ac.in; AIIMS does not authorize any agent, coaching centre, or third-party website for recruitment-related activities.
- 7 The OBC-NCL certificate must be valid for financial year 2026-2027 and issued between 01.04.2026 and 13.08.2026.
- 8 The EWS certificate must be based on financial year 2025-2026 income and issued between 01.04.2026 and 13.08.2026.
- 9 Candidature remains provisional until final document verification; ineligibility detected at any stage, including after joining, will lead to cancellation.

- Focus on 80 nursing subject questions in Stage I; Stage II emphasizes clinical case scenarios requiring practical competency.
- Practice MCQs with negative marking (1/3 mark deduction) to manage time effectively in both 90-minute and 180-minute exams.
