Selection Process

Computer Based Examination conducted in two tiers: Tier-I and Tier-II (Session-I and Session-II including Computer Knowledge Test and Skill Test/Typing Test), followed by Document Verification.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the new website of SSC Headquarter at https://ssc.gov.in or through my SSC mobile application.
  2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) (earlier OTR on old website https://ssc.nic.in will not be functional).
  3. Opt for Aadhaar Based Authentication if desired, or upload required documents.
  4. Fill up the online Application Form for the examination.
  5. Capture live photograph through the application module (without cap, mask, or glasses/spectacles) and upload scanned signature in JPEG/JPG format (10 to 20 KB, dimensions about 6.0 cm width x 2.0 cm height).
  6. Pay the application fee online (if not exempted).
  7. Submit the online application and take a printout of the application form for future records.

Important Instructions & Guidelines

  • Applications must be submitted only in online mode.
  • Candidates must give options for three examination centres in the order of priority within the same Region.
  • Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor adjusted against any other examination.
  • Application form correction window is available from 14.10.2026 to 16.10.2026 with uniform correction charges of Rs. 200/- for the first time and Rs. 500/- for the second time.
  • Applications remaining incomplete due to non-receipt of fee will be summarily rejected.
  • Only one online application is allowed to be submitted by a candidate during normal period.
  • Candidates must write their name, date of birth, father's name and mother's name strictly as given in the matriculation certificate.
  • Candidates who could not undergo Aadhaar Based Authentication must report at the examination centre two hours before the scheduled start with Admission Certificate, two passport size recent colour photographs, and Original valid Photo-ID proof having Date of Birth.
